Kindergarten at The Summit? Absolutely!

We’ve expanded our curriculum to include Kindergarten classes.

Now your child can continue the quality education they’ve been accustomed to without missing a beat.  Kindergarten at The Summit means the same healthy meals, secure environment, and joyous atmosphere children enjoy during preschool, but with a more advanced curriculum in a more sophisticated classroom-like setting. It’s a fun and gradual way to gently transition your child from the preschool mindset to the more structured grade-school environment without fear or stress.

Learning should be fun! We continue with the A Beka curriculum adding greater challenges like more advanced phonics and lessons about history, weather, health, and seasons.  Each Kindergartner works through small books, taking them home to keep when they’ve completed them so they can read them to you and share their accomplishments! Kindergarten is when we introduce kids to the fine arts like poetry, drama, and mixed medium art.

No worries about after care or meals—at The Summit, we continue to offer the same benefits our preschoolers receive, especially tailored to the needs and wants of a child who is growing up all too quickly.

"Chase has separation anxiety not unlike many children, however his was a little more extreme than most. He cried at drop off for a very long time. His teachers were wonderful at comforting him and he would typically stop by the time I left the building. It was hard at first to leave him while he was crying but his teachers would do everything they could to help including holding, cuddling and/or distracting him if needed. I would have never been able to leave him crying if I didn’t feel absolutely sure that he would be taken care of. Now almost 1.5 years later he loves school, a lot of times he doesn’t want to leave in the afternoon. He has learned so much and made many friends, which is exactly what we wanted for him. "Knox started at Summit Preparatory Academy in September 2013. "Speaking of trust, from the top down, the faculty and teachers here are top notch. I have two children and we are coming up on our third year here, they have become more of a family at this point. We see many of the teachers outside of school at community functions and church and many of them I consider friends. The Summit is involved in SO MANY community activities that the children are also able to participate in. You can bet every holiday they will have something fun going on. I think my favorite was when my daughter got to be an angel in the White House Christmas parade. In the Spring Elizabeth started the week of the child. They had picnics, ice cream treats, bounce houses, gymnastics and soccer! They offer gymnastics year round and soccer in the spring as well. My oldest child is in both and absolutely loves the sports and the coaches."
